Born in Lubumbashi in 1955, master in Arts (specialized in contemporary history), I currently teach in Brussels and live in the surroundings. I am basically a self-taught painter and I see in art the materialization of the 'meaning of life'. After following drawing lessons,
I attended the Anderlecht Fine Arts Academy.

My first exhibition took place in December 2000 at the Artist'écho Gallery, near the Grand Place, the central market square of Brussels. This led to a lot of new connections. in January 2001, the "Dixformes-Informes" review published an article about me. From now on many painters or sculptors (ABEL Jean-Marie, MAUS André, MERWICK Billy) bought or exchanged canvasses with me. Nowadays my works deal with the family life,
the sexuality, the thoughts and feelings, the loneliness, the expectations of a better life.

I want my paintings to be a research on society and it would be very difficult - even presumptuous- to compare my style with another well-known painter. I would rather talk of influences. We can mention CHAISSAC, DUBUFFET, HUNDERTWASSER, ERNST, PAUL KLEE. As far as I'm concerned, - and you know artists are often divided on the subject - I think that the artist have to emphasize the forms and the colours. Outsider art is a way amongst others to avoid preciosity and conformism in art.
